About Big Papa And His Nuisance Wildlife Control History And Experience
Hi, I’m Ray Eserhaut, aka Big Papa, the owner of Big Papa’s Nuisance Wildlife Control. I’m a local family-owned and operated business, not a corporate franchise, holding Iowa wildlife control licenses and certifications and insured for residential and commercial jobs.
I grew up in the outdoors, trapping, hunting & fishing. After high school, I went to jr. college and got my two-year degree in associate of arts, science, and general studies, and then went to Iowa State for fisheries and wildlife. I’ve worked several outdoor and wildlife-related jobs, including the Cedar Co. Conservation, the Department Of Natural Resources in fisheries and wildlife, and then two years in Parks And Recreations.
In addition to my work experience, I owned and operated a successful outfitting business in Southeast Iowa and Northeast Missouri. I also guided deer and turkey hunts for five years, then sold the business. I also owned and operated a successful taxidermy business for eight years before getting into the wildlife business and starting Big Papa’s Nuisance Wildlife Control over ten years ago.
I am a life member of the national trappers association, a life member of the Iowa trappers association, and an active director for the Iowa trappers association.

“I had a problem with an animal in my basement. I saw “Big Papa’s” advertisement on his truck and called them. The next day the raccoon was gone. They set traps and caught more of them. I was thrilled they were gone!! Thanks, Big Papa’s. Good Job!!”
